Preview Roundups
September 15, 2019
Arizona at Baltimore 1:00 PM ET
The Baltimore Ravens' new offense with Lamar Jackson firmly installed under center looked like the best unit in the league while dominating the Miami Dolphins in Week 1. Jackson and company will try to prove that was no fluke when they host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Dallas at Washington 1:00 PM ET
The Dallas Cowboys are considered the team to beat in the NFC East and a soft schedule to open the season will just enhance their front-runner status. Following an impressive performance in a Week 1 rout of the New York Giants, the Cowboys look to make it two wins in as many weeks against a division opponent when they visit the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon.
Indianapolis at Tennessee 1:00 PM ET
The Tennessee Titans authored one of the more impressive Week 1 victories and will try to start 2-0 for the first time in 11 years when they host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Behind a defense that forced three turnovers and recorded five sacks, the Titans rolled to a 43-13 victory at Cleveland, a popular preseason pick that was favored by nearly a touchdown over Tennessee.
Seattle at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM ET
Russell Wilson and Ben Roethlisberger engaged in a high-octane shootout the last time they shared the field, so there is no telling what may happen when the Seattle Seahawks visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Wilson passed for 345 yards and five touchdowns in the 39-30 home win during the 2015 season while Roethlisberger passed for 456 yards but just one score.
San Francisco at Cincinnati 1:00 PM ET
Forcing turnovers was a big problem for the San Francisco 49ers while going 4-12 last season, but one game into 2019 it appears the problem is resolved. The 49ers will try to keep the interceptions coming when they visit Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
L.A. Chargers at Detroit 1:00 PM ET
The Detroit Lions didn't lose their season opener, but they are in the position where they need to rebound from a highly disappointing result when they host the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Detroit squandered an 18-point, fourth-quarter lead in its initial contest before kicking a field goal to salvage a 27-27 tie with Arizona.
Minnesota at Green Bay 1:00 PM ET
The Green Bay Packers benefited from an impressive defensive performance to kick off the NFL season with a victory over the reigning NFC North champions. The Packers will look to defeat a division rival for the second time in as many weeks on Sunday when they host the Minnesota Vikings, against whom they are 0-3-1 in the last four meetings.
Jacksonville at Houston 1:00 PM ET

The line between moral victory and demoralizing loss can be fine in the NFL, but the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars firmly were on opposite sides of it in Week 1. The AFC South rivals aim to rebound from season-opening losses when they square off Sunday in Houston.

New England at Miami 1:00 PM ET
Coach Bill Belichick is a master of making sure the New England Patriots brush aside outside distractions, but that single-mindedness could be put to the test this week. Questions abound over whether All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown, acquired before last week's season opener, will be in the lineup Sunday when the reigning Super Bowl champions visit the Miami Dolphins.
Buffalo at N.Y. Giants 1:00 PM ET
After using an impressive comeback to defeat one team that resides at MetLife Stadium, the Buffalo Bills go for a sweep when they visit the New York Giants on Sunday. Buffalo allowed the first 16 points in its season opener before rallying in the second half to post a 17-16 road victory over the New York Jets.
Kansas City at Oakland 4:05 PM ET

The Kansas City Chiefs saw their season flash before them when star quarterback Patrick Mahomes sprained his ankle in Week 1, but the reigning MVP says he will be ready to play Sunday. Mahomes and the Chiefs hit the road in Week 2 for an AFC West showdown with the Oakland Raiders.

New Orleans at L.A. Rams 4:25 PM ET
Nearly nine months after they were done in by one of the more controversial no-calls in NFL history to help the Rams advance to the Super Bowl, the New Orleans Saints seek a measure of revenge when they visit Los Angeles on Sunday. The Rams defeated the Saints 26-23 in overtime in last year's NFC Championship Game, but it was a blatant pass interference on cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman late in regulation that was missed by referees and is still being discussed.
Chicago at Denver 4:25 PM ET
Two teams looking to bounce back from disappointing season openers square off Sunday as the Chicago Bears visit the Denver Broncos. Chicago came out on top on the stat sheet against Green Bay at home but dropped a 10-3 decision while Denver suffered a 24-16 loss in Oakland that was not as close as the scoreboard indicated.
Philadelphia at Atlanta 8:20 PM ET
The Philadelphia Eagles aim to begin a season with a 2-0 mark for the second time in four years on Sunday night when they visit the Atlanta Falcons, who are looking to avert an 0-2 start for the first time since 2007. The Eagles were able to overcome a 17-point deficit in their 32-27 win over Washington while Atlanta was unable to climb out of a four-touchdown deficit in its 28-12 setback to Minnesota.
