The Lakers succumbed 126-111 to the Houston Rockets to start the trip and now face a Charlotte team that had its season-best three-game winning streak snapped on Friday.

The Boston Celtics will look to increase their season-best winning streak to nine games when they visit the Detroit Pistons on Saturday. Meanwhile, Detroit will be attempting to snap a season-worst six-game losing streak that includes three double-digit setbacks.

A week after finishing an 0-3 road trip, the Houston Rockets head back out onto the road for a visit with the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. The Rockets were held to an average of 95.3 points in their winless trip before finding their footing on the offensive end in a 2-0 homestand capped by a 126-111 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

The San Antonio Spurs are playing like the great teams of their recent past during a six-game homestand and are coming off one of their most impressive wins after blowing past the Los Angeles Clippers 125-87 on Thursday. The Spurs will try to make it five straight victories when they host the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder lost just three times during a 19-game stretch but suddenly find themselves in a funk. The Thunder have dropped three of their last four games entering Saturday's contest against the Los Angeles Clippers, who also are struggling after a strong start.
