Preview Roundups
January 27, 2018
Oklahoma City at Detroit 5:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons are sliding out of the top eight in the Eastern Conference and are losers of six in a row, including the first three of a four-game homestand. The Pistons will try to avoid being swept on that homestand when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.
Orlando at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers attempt to defeat Orlando for the seventh straight time when they host the Magic on Saturday. Indiana has dominated the recent series by winning 17 of the past 19 meetings, including two earlier this season.
Washington at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
The Washington Wizards are in a minor funk and look to emerge from it when they visit the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. Washington has dropped four of its last five games and the woeful stretch includes losses of 24 points to the Charlotte Hornets and 23 to the Dallas Mavericks.
Charlotte at Miami 7:30 PM ET
One of the hottest teams in the NBA earlier this month, the Miami Heat are now in a bit of a funk, even against some of the league's lesser opponents. They will try to avoid their first three-game losing streak since October when they wrap up a quick two-game homestand against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday.
Boston at Golden State 8:30 PM ET
It'll be Kevin Durant vs. the rest of his All-Star teammates next month in Los Angeles, but he looks plenty comfortable playing with the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green for now. Durant will try to lead the Golden State Warriors to a third straight win when they host the Boston Celtics on Saturday in a showdown between conference leaders.
Brooklyn at Minnesota 9:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Timberwolves figure to be without All-Star shooting guard Jimmy Butler for the fifth straight game when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday. Butler is nursing an ailing knee and Minnesota badly missed him in consecutive losses to the Portland Trail Blazers and Golden State Warriors.
Dallas at Denver 9:00 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets put it all together on the offensive end their last time out and will try to pile up the points again when they continue a five-game homestand against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. After shooting below 50 percent in 10 straight games, the Nuggets hit 60 percent of their shot attempts in a 130-118 win over the New York Knicks on Thursday to improve to 2-1 on the homestand.
