January 22, 2018
Sacramento at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The Charlotte Hornets are trying to gain some momentum and make a push toward .500 but had a chance at a three-game winning streak end in heartbreaking fashion on Saturday. The Hornets will try to bounce back after squandering a five-point lead with 34 seconds left when they host the fading Sacramento Kings on Monday.
Utah at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
The Utah Jazz have struggled to score points all season, but enter the start of a three-game road trip Monday at the Atlanta Hawks following one of their best offensive performances. Rookie Donovan Mitchell continued his emergence with 23 points in Saturday’s 125-113 victory over the Clippers, helping the Jazz set season highs in points in a quarter (39) and a half (76) despite missing guard Rodney Hood due to a leg injury.
Philadelphia at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia 76ers have been taking care of business against many of the top contenders in the Eastern Conference and now set their sights on one of the lesser squads in the West when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. Consecutive wins over Toronto, Boston and Milwaukee propelled the Sixers into the sixth spot in the conference standings, just 3 1/2 games behind third-place Cleveland.
Phoenix at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks are struggling of late and dropped four of their last five games, with all four losses coming against potential playoff teams. The Bucks get a bit of a break in the schedule with two straight at home against sub-.500 teams, beginning with a visit from the Phoenix Suns on Monday.
Chicago at New Orleans 8:00 PM ET
Both the Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Pelicans won four of their last five games entering an intriguing matchup Monday night in The Big Easy. The Bulls began a three-game road trip with a 16-point win at Atlanta to recover from a tough loss three nights earlier to the defending champion Golden State Warriors.
Washington at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Washington Wizards got off to a terrible start on their five-game road trip but turned things around over the last three quarters in Detroit on Friday. The Wizards will try to carry that momentum when they continue the trip with a visit to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
Portland at Denver 9:00 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets have fallen out of the top eight in the Western Conference and are in danger of dipping below .500 for the first time since October. The Portland Trail Blazers are trending in the other direction and they will try for their first four-game winning streak of the season when they visit Denver on Monday.
Minnesota at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers had their six-game winning streak come to an end with a 125-113 loss at Utah on Saturday but are heading home to try and prove they belong in the postseason discussion. The Clippers will play consecutive games against teams in the top four of their respective conferences at home this week, beginning with a visit from the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
