LA Angels at Texas 2:05 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels got off to a good start as they returned to Arlington for the first time since the untimely death of Tyler Skaggs, but the contest spiraled downward and ended in disappointment. The Angels will have two chances to redeem themselves on Tuesday as they visit the Texas Rangers for a day-night doubleheader.
Washington at Pittsburgh 7:05 PM ET
The Washington Nationals look to continue their historic offensive surge when they visit the struggling Pittsburgh Pirates for the second of a four-game set Tuesday night. The Nationals have scored 62 runs over the last five games - four more than they have ever recorded in that span - after pounding out 15 hits, including four homers, on the way to a 13-0 rout in Monday’s series opener.
Kansas City at Baltimore 7:05 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals own one of the worst road records in the majors, but they've quietly put together a nice stretch away from home. They will try to claim a season-high fourth consecutive road victory when they continue a three-game series at the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday.
Philadelphia at Boston 7:10 PM ET
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers has been tormenting pitchers all season, but the 22-year-old appears to have taken it up a notch over the last 10 days. Devers aims to extend both his hitting streak to nine contests and Boston's winning streak to six on Tuesday as the club plays the opener of an abbreviated two-game series against the visiting Philadelphia Phillies.
Seattle at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners have a chance to clinch their third straight series victory on a nine-game road trip when they visit the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday for the second of three contests. The Mariners, who reside in the American League West cellar, took two of three at Detroit and Toronto before launching three homers - two from catcher Tom Murphy - en route to a 9-3 triumph in Monday’s series opener.
San Diego at Cincinnati 7:10 PM ET
Cincinnati right fielder Aristides Aquino tries to break out of the first slump in his brief career when the Reds host the San Diego Padres on Tuesday in the middle contest of their three-game series. Aquino, who became the first rookie since 1900 to hit 11 home runs in his first 17 games, is 2-for-16 in his last four contests - both homers - after going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in Monday's 3-1 loss to San Diego.
Cleveland at NY Mets 7:10 PM ET
Pete Alonso looks to follow up breaking the National League single-season home run mark for a rookie by etching his name in the franchise record books. Alonso aims to do precisely that on Tuesday as the New York Mets begin a nine-game homestand with the first of three contests versus the Cleveland Indians.
Miami at Atlanta 7:20 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves finally won a series against the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend, but the focus for the National League East leaders is to continue their strong play into Tuesday’s opener of a three-game home series against the Miami Marlins. The Braves have won three of their past four series and began the week leading Washington by 5 1/2 games in the division, but the one series they did not win was a four-game split against the Marlins, who have lost six of their past seven.
Milwaukee at St. Louis 7:45 PM ET
Behind a dominant pitching performance, the St. Louis Cardinals struck first in a significant series in the National League Central. They'll look to expand their lead in the tightly-packed division when they play the second of a three-game set with the visiting Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday.
LA Angels at Texas 8:05 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels got off to a good start as they returned to Arlington for the first time since the untimely death of Tyler Skaggs, but the contest spiraled downward and ended in disappointment. The Angels will have two chances to redeem themselves on Tuesday as they visit the Texas Rangers for a day-night doubleheader.
San Francisco at Chi. Cubs 8:05 PM ET
The Chicago Cubs return to the friendly confines of Wrigley Field for a six-game homestand that starts Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants after accomplishing a rare feat. Chicago won consecutive contests on the road for the first time since the All-Star break and second time since winning four straight from April 27-May 1 with Sunday's 7-1 victory over Pittsburgh at the MLB Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pa.
Detroit at Houston 8:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros appear to be getting back on track after suffering through a five-game slide. Houston aims to record its third straight victory when it hosts the struggling Detroit Tigers on Tuesday.
Chi. White Sox at Minnesota 8:10 PM ET
After winning the final four games of their 5-1 road trip, the Minnesota Twins were unable to carry the momentum into the opener of their six-game homestand. Minnesota looks to avoid back-to-back losses when it continues its three-game series against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday.
Colorado at Arizona 9:40 PM ET
The Arizona Diamondbacks are trying to remain a viable contender for a National League wild-card spot and are once again at the .500 mark. The Diamondbacks shoot for their third straight victory when they host the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday in the middle contest of a three-game set.
NY Yankees at Oakland 10:07 PM ET
It has been a challenge for New York's Domingo German to stay healthy during his professional baseball career and because of that, the right-hander will probably head into uncharted territory Tuesday. German takes the ball 3 2/3 innings shy of reaching a career high for a season when he tries for his 17th victory as the Yankees begin a nine-game West Coast swing with the first of three against the Oakland Athletics.
Toronto at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers take on a pair of American League East teams during a six-game homestand this week, starting with the first three against the fourth-place Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night. The National League West-leading Dodgers, who face the major league-best New York Yankees for a three-game showdown this weekend, come home after dropping three of the final four contests on a 3-3 road trip.
