Seattle at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Rays’ dormant offense woke up in their last two at-bats of the weekend and they hope to carry over the momentum into the opener of a three-game set with the visiting Seattle Mariners on Monday night. The Rays managed just two runs in 37 innings before scoring twice in each of the final two frames Sunday to grind out a 5-4 victory over Detroit, remaining on top in the race for the American League’s second wild card.
San Diego at Cincinnati 7:10 PM ET
The Cincinnati Reds had a chance to make a move in the National League Central over the weekend but failed to take full advantage while splitting a four-game set with division-leading St. Louis and are trying to keep the door from closing on their postseason chances. The Reds will try to take advantage of a team in a similar spot when they host the San Diego Padres on Monday in the opener of a three-game series.
Milwaukee at St. Louis 7:45 PM ET
The National League Central race intensifies Monday in St. Louis, where the first-place Cardinals host the Milwaukee Brewers in the opener of a three-game series. The Cardinals stayed atop the division standings with a 5-4 win in Cincinnati on Sunday to cap a 4-2 road trip.
LA Angels at Texas 8:05 PM ET
Superstar Mike Trout has done loads of damage against the Texas Rangers this season and the two-time Most Valuable Player will try to keep that trend alive when he leads his Los Angeles Angels into a four-game series in the Lone Star State beginning Monday. Trout is batting .349 with nine home runs, 16 RBIs and 16 walks in 13 games against the Rangers in 2019.
Detroit at Houston 8:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros ended a disappointing road trip and a five-game losing streak last time out and return to Minute Maid Park where they open a 10-game homestand with the first of three against the struggling Detroit Tigers on Monday. Chi. White Sox at Minnesota 8:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins answered a disastrous 1-5 mark over the last six contests of their recent homestand by winning five of six on their just-completed road trip. The Twins aim to give their home fans a thrill on Monday, when they begin a stretch of 13 straight contests against American League Central rivals with the opener of a three-game series versus the Chicago White Sox.
Colorado at Arizona 9:40 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies prevented a sweep by winning the series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks last week before bringing out the brooms in their last set.
