David Pastrnak scored his 47th goal, defenseman Charlie McAvoy had one goal with two assists and Tuukka Rask needed just 25 saves for his 49th career shutout as the NHL-leading Boston Bruins extended their road winning streak over the New York Islanders to 10 games with a 4-0 victory on Saturday at Uniondale, N.Y.

Brad Marchand recorded a goal with an assist, and Matt Grzelcyk scored for the first time since November as the Bruins pushed their point total to 94 with a 13th victory in 16 games. Rask didn't need to do much in posting his fourth shutout of the season while Boston won for the 18th time in the last 21 meetings on the Islanders' home ice.

Semyon Varlamov stopped 26 shots for New York, which had earned at least one point in four straight games, but has dropped three in a row. The Islanders, who went 0-for-6 on the power play, are 2-5-2 in their last nine contests while trying to remain in playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

Boston went ahead 4:30 into the game when Pastrnak, who entered as the NHL's goal leader, scored for the ninth time in nine games. It came into what was essentially an open net after Islanders defenseman Andy Greene ran Boston's Patrice Bergeron into Varlamov, who was taken out on the play. New York opted not to the challenge the goal.

The Bruins' second goal that came with 6:50 left in the first period was nearly as strange. Grzelcyk was simply throwing the puck near the net, but it deflected off New York defenseman Johnny Boychuk and past Varlamov to make it 2-0.

Marchand, who earned an assist on the play, scored his 27th goal of the season and fourth in five games with 8:54 left in the contest. Marchand has recorded four goals and 10 points in the last nine games.

McAvoy, who hails from Long Island, scored his fourth of the season off the power play with 3:34 left in regulation. He has four goals and nine assists over a 13-game stretch.
