Morgan Rielly scored twice, John Tavares had a goal and an assist and goaltender Frederik Andersen stopped all 31 Pittsburgh Penguins shots Saturday in a 5-0 win by the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs.

It was Andersen's first shutout this season, 16th of his career.

Patrick Marleau and Zach Hyman also scored, and Kasperi Kapanen and Mitch Marner each had two assists for Toronto, which improved to 6-0-0 on the road.

It was the Maple Leafs' first win without young star Auston Matthews, who has a shoulder injury. They lost their first two games with him out.

Toronto got payback for an Oct. 18 game, when Pittsburgh, then the visiting team, won 3-0.

That win kicked off a 4-0 road trip through Canada for the Penguins, but they are 0-2-1 since that trek and dropped to 2-3-1 at home.

Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin, who had been third in the NHL with 20 points, had his point streak stopped at nine games.

Penguins goaltender Matt Murray made 26 saves, although he left for about three minutes in the second period, apparently because of an equipment problem. Backup Casey DeSmith stopped both shots he faced.

Tavares opened the scoring at 9:34 of the first. From just above the crease, he tipped a shot from Marner past Murray for his eighth goal.

Off a feed from Kapanen, Marleau made it 2-0 when he went forehand to backhand and scored just before he crashed into Murray 44 seconds into the second. At 6:24 of the second, Murray retreated to the locker room. DeSmith played the next 3:13.

Rielly increased the Maple Leafs' lead to 3-0 at 11:49 of the second off the rush. Tavares fed him a little nudge pass, and he beat Murray to the glove side.

Rielly struck again to make it 4-0 at 15:33 of the third, a power-play goal after he got a nice bounce off the end boards.

Hyman added a short-handed goal with 19.8 seconds left when his rebound caromed in off the skate of Pittsburgh's Patric Hornqvist.
