Keith Kinkaid stopped all 18 shots he faced, Artemi Panarin registered an assist in his return from a leave of absence and the New York Rangers ended a three-game skid with a 4-0 victory over the host Boston Bruins on Saturday afternoon.

Defenseman K'Andre Miller, Chris Kreider, Ryan Strome and Pavel Buchnevich scored and Mika Zibanejad had two assists as the Rangers returned the favor after being blanked 4-0 in Boston on Thursday.

Kinkaid's shutout was his first in the NHL since Nov. 15, 2018.

Jaroslav Halak had 29 saves for the Bruins, who have lost six of nine (3-4-2). Boston's streak of holding opponents to one goal or less in regulation ended at six games.

Panarin hadn't played since Feb. 20 after stepping away from the team amid unsubstantiated assault allegations that surfaced in his native Russia. He showed little rust in his return to the lineup, as his pass to Strome alone in front of the net set up New York's third goal at 8:03 of the final period.

Buchnevich's tally off a feed from Kreider with 3:48 left ended the scoring.

The Rangers grabbed a 1-0 lead 3:06 into the first period when Miller's shot from the blue line clanked off the post and in through traffic in front of the net. Zibanejad and Buchnevich assisted on Miller's second goal of the season.

After a sluggish first, the Bruins received a chance to respond when Brendan Lemieux was penalized for boarding Trent Frederic into their bench 53 seconds into the middle period. Boston came up empty on the ensuing power play.

Minutes later, Kreider upped New York's advantage to 2-0 off a perfectly placed feed from Zibanejad to the front of the net. The marker was Kreider's 10th in his last 11 games.

The Bruins' fifth and final chance on the power play came nine seconds into the third period. The hosts generated just seven shots on net in the final 20 minutes.

Boston played without winger Jake DeBrusk (COVID-19 protocol).
