Donovan McNabb returned to the City of Brotherly Love and did what he did so many times before.

He won.

Greeted by a standing ovation prior to the game, McNabb found tight end Chris Cooley for a 31-yard scoring strike to help the Washington Redskins snap a two-game losing streak with a 17-12 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Six months after being traded to an NFC East rival, McNabb completed just 8 of 19 passes for 125 yards with an interception. The veteran quarterback also rushed five times for 39 yards, including an 18-yard scamper to secure a first down in the waning moments of the contest.

Michael Vick, who embraced McNabb prior to the contest, suffered both chest and rib injuries on a 23-yard running play during the first quarter. Adding insult to injury, the play was negated by a holding penalty.

The starter at the onset of the season, Kevin Kolb relieved Vick and completed 22 of 35 passes for 201 yards with a 5-yard touchdown pass to tight end Brent Celek.

Both Eagles quarterbacks found a welcome target in running back LeSean McCoy, who had 12 catches for 110 yards for Philadelphia (2-2).

Ryan Torain opened the scoring with a 12-yard touchdown run just three minutes into the contest for Washington (2-2).
