Michael Vick passed for 284 yards and a pair of touchdowns and LeSean McCoy rushed for 120 yards and three scores as the Philadelphia Eagles outlasted the Detroit Lions 35-32 on Sunday.

DeSean Jackson added 135 receiving yards and a touchdown and Vick added 37 rushing yards for the Eagles.

Lions rookie running back Jahvid Best rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns and caught nine passes for 154 yards and another score. Quarterback Shaun Hill finished 25 of 45 for 335 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Making his first NFL start since 2006, Vick showed little rust right out of the gate, completing two passes on Philadelphia’s first drive - including a 45-yard strike to Jackson that gave the Eagles the early lead.

Best tied the game with a 14-yard rushing score and followed a Detroit field goal with a 75-yard receiving touchdown on the Lions’ next possession to give his team a 17-7 edge.

But Vick directed an 11-play drive capped by McCoy’s 14-yard score to cut it to 17-14 with 3:53 left in the half and added a 9-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin with 13 seconds left on the clock for a 21-17 edge.

McCoy added touchdowns in both the third and fourth to put Philadelphia ahead 35-17 before the Lions stormed back. Best added another rushing touchdown with 4:13 left on the clock and Hill hit Calvin Johnson for a 19-yard score with 1:50 on the clock.

Detroit made a successful two-point conversion and recovered the ensuing onside kick, but Hill could not complete a pass in four attempts.
