Kevin Harris ran for 171 yards and two touchdowns to lift South Carolina to a 41-7 romp versus Vanderbilt on a rainy Saturday in Nashville, Tenn.

Collin Hill threw for 196 passing yards and a pair of rushing scores for the Gamecocks (1-2), who led from start to finish.

South Carolina snapped a five-game losing skid while extending its winning streak in the series to 12 games.

Trailing 10-0 and facing fourth-and-4 from their 31, the Commodores (0-3) snapped the ball to the upback, who handed it to defensive back Elijah Hamilton. South Carolina defenders stayed in their lanes and tackled Hamilton a yard short of the first down.

Two plays later, Harris dashed 25 yards through a huge hole on the right side for a touchdown.

On the Commodores' ensuing possession, Vanderbilt quarterback Ken Seals found Cam Johnson with a quick throw to the Carolina 16, and the wide receiver turned in and ran past several defenders for a score.

South Carolina punched back with the equalizer on its next possession, with Hill scoring on a 10-yard scramble to cap a 75-yard drive.

A 17-yard punt set Carolina up at the Vandy 48, and Parker White converted a 40-yard field goal to put the Gamecocks up 20 with 21 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

After another Commodore punt, Harris found a hole between center and right guard and sprinted 88 yards untouched for a score.

After another Vanderbilt three-and-out possession, wide receiver Dakereon Joyner took a reverse and ran right for an easy 47-yard touchdown.

White opened the scoring with a 42-yard field goal with 5:19 left in the first quarter.

Vanderbilt's two subsequent drives ended inside the Carolina 11 with no points. First, kicker Pierson Cooke pushed a 29-yard field goal right.

On the next, Seals rolled right and couldn't find a receiver. Linebacker Ernest Jones pushed him out of bounds at the Gamecock 4 on a fourth-down play.

That turned momentum Carolina's way.

Hill found tight end Nick Muse wide open for 32 yards on the next snap. On the 12th play of that drive, Hill bulled his way through the line from a yard out on a fourth-and-goal play for the game's first touchdown.
