Breece Hall ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns to lift Iowa State to a 37-30 win over No. 18 Oklahoma on Saturday night in Ames, Iowa.

It was the Cyclones' first home win over the Sooners since 1960, a streak of 24 consecutive games.

While the Cyclones improved to 2-1 and 2-0 in the Big 12, the Sooners dropped to 1-2 and 0-2.

Oklahoma has dropped back-to-back games for the first time since 1999 and is 0-2 in the Big 12 for the first time since 1998.

The Cyclones trailed by as many as 11 points in the game and by seven midway through the fourth quarter but rebounded after a fourth-quarter turnover to score a pair of quick touchdowns and pull off the victory.

Despite the Sooners having no sacks on Brock Purdy, Oklahoma had been able to get pressure on the Cyclones' quarterback throughout the first three quarters.

Early in the fourth, the Sooners finally broke through and got their first sack on Purdy, and ended an eight-quarter turnover drought.

Defensive end Isaiah Thomas came off the edge and got his arm on Purdy's right as he wound up to pass, knocking the ball free. The Sooners recovered.

Oklahoma took advantage, with a pair of quick plays in succession to drive to just outside the goal line before quarterback Spencer Rattler hit Jeremiah Hall for a 3-yard touchdown pass to put the Sooners up 30-23.

But the momentum was short-lived, as Kene Nwangwu returned the kick to the Sooners' 13. Three plays later, the Cyclones tied it up on Purdy's short touchdown run.

Iowa State forced a punt, then scored again to grab the lead.

The Sooners' chances for a late comeback ended with Isheem Young's interception of a Spencer Rattler pass with just more than a minute remaining.

Purdy threw for 254 yards and a touchdown. Rattler threw for 300 yards and two scores, but the Sooners ran for just 114 yards.

The Sooners were called for nine penalties for 93 yards while the Cyclones were flagged nine times for 90 yards.
