Duke scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to overcome visiting Miami for a season-ending 27-17 victory in the rain Saturday at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, N.C.

Running back Deon Jackson's 2-yard touchdown run with 9:37 remaining propelled Duke to a 20-17 lead.

The Blue Devils, who snapped a five-game losing streak, stretched the advantage when quarterback Quentin Harris threw to freshman receiver Jalon Calhoun, who was alone along the sideline, for a 49-yard touchdown play at the 6:55 mark. Calhoun had gone eight games since his last scoring catch.

Duke (5-7, 3-5 ACC) went 3-3 in home games this year. The Blue Devils have defeated Miami in consecutive seasons for the first time, winning last year in a rainy game on the road.

The Hurricanes (6-6, 4-4) were unable to recover from a nonleague loss a week earlier to area rival Florida International. They'll await a bowl assignment.

Duke's defense recorded a season-high nine sacks. Miami was limited to 259 yards of total offense.

Miami quarterback Jarren Williams was 11 of 26 for 142 yards and one touchdown. Backup quarterback N'Kosi Perry lost a fumble with 2:17 remaining, resulting in a sack and dousing any chance of a comeback.

Harris, a senior, completed 10 of 24 passes for 156 yards in his final college game.

Miami's Cam'Ron Harris ran 8 yards for a touchdown on the second snap of the second quarter. The drive was extended by a successful fake punt.

Two minutes later, Duke was ahead on Harris' 24-yard run.

Duke's AJ Reed booted his second field goal of the game midway through the second quarter for a 13-7 lead.

Miami went back on top on Robert Burns' 15-yard reception with 2:26 left in the first half.

Miami stretched its lead in the third quarter to 17-13. K.J. Osborn's 43-yard punt return to the Duke 14-yard line set up Camden Price's 27-yard field goal.
