Dru Brown tossed two touchdowns in his first Oklahoma State start, and Chuba Hubbard tallied his ninth straight 100-yard rushing game on Saturday afternoon in the No. 21 Cowboys' 20-13 Big 12 win over West Virginia in Morgantown, W.Va.

After an injury suffered in a win over Kansas last week, Oklahoma State redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Sanders had thumb surgery this week, sidelining him for the rest of the regular season.

The fifth-year senior Brown, who transferred from Hawaii in 2018, stepped in and completed 22 of 29 passes for 196 yards.

Hubbard rushed for 106 yards on 26 carries to lift his season total to 1,832 -- tops in the country.

He chipped in a season-best 88 receiving yards on seven catches for the Cowboys (8-3, 5-3 Big 12), who won their fourth straight game.

Jarret Doege, who made his first start for West Virginia in last week's upset win at Kansas State, was 28 of 38 for 307 yards and a touchdown.

George Campbell had a game-high 92 yards on five receptions and caught Doege's lone TD pass for West Virginia (4-7, 2-6), which was eliminated from bowl eligibility.

Hubbard caught a screen pass and dashed 47 yards on Oklahoma State's first possession. The Cowboys then went up 7-0 when Brown flipped a 1-yard score to tight end Jelani Woods on fourth-and-goal with 7:41 left.

West Virginia kicker Evan Staley connected from 22 yards after his team's second drive stalled. The Mountaineers had first-and-goal but couldn't punch it in.

Doege, who completed 12 of 16 first-half passes, stayed sizzling hot by lobbing a high 34-yard ball that the 6-foot-4 Campbell tracked down to give West Virginia its first lead at 10-7 with 5:23 remaining in the first half.

Oklahoma State's Matt Ammendola drilled a 44-yard field on the second-half's opening series, a 45-yard drive, to knot it 10-10, but Staley popped a 29-yarder in the last minute of the quarter to push the Mountaineers ahead.

Going 5-for-5 on a 13-play drive, Brown fired a 2-yard TD strike to Dillon Stoner on a quick slant to cap a 78-yard march with 11:23 left in the fourth, and Ammendola added a 22-yard boot for a 20-13 edge with 6:18 left.

West Virginia moved inside the red zone to the Oklahoma State 17 with 2:42 to go in the contest, but the Cowboys' defense pressured Doege on four straight plays and forced a turnover on downs.
