Jake Fromm threw two touchdown passes and Georgia allowed just 21 rushing yards as the eighth-ranked Bulldogs defeated No. 6 Florida 24-17 on Saturday at Jacksonville, Fla.

Rodrigo Blankenship kicked three field goals for the Bulldogs (7-1, 4-1), who took possession of first place in the Southeastern Conference's East Division with four weeks remaining in the regular season.

The decision virtually was sealed when Fromm teamed with tight end Eli Wolf for a 22-yard pass play on third-and-7 with over 2 minutes to go and Florida without a timeout. The Bulldogs ran out the clock.

Fromm completed 20 of 30 for 279 yards in beating Florida for the third straight year. D'Andre Swift ran for 86 yards on 25 carries.

Kyle Trask finished 21 of 33 for 257 yards and two TDs for the Gators (7-2, 4-2). He became the first Gators quarterback in 10 years to throw for two or more TDs against Georgia.

Trask's 2-yard TD pass to Freddie Swain cut Georgia's lead to 24-17 with 3:11 remaining. The play finished a 17-play, 75-yard drive in 6:50.

Fromm found Lawrence Cager down the left sideline with a play-action pass that became a 52-yard scoring play with 10:01 remaining. The quarterback then connected with Cager on the two-point conversion for a 24-10 advantage.

Cager caught seven passes for 132 yards.

Trask hit Van Jefferson with a 23-yard TD pass to cut Florida's deficit to 16-10 at 13:51 of the fourth quarter. It culminated a nine-play, 80-yard drive in 3:58.

Blankenship's 27-yard field goal created a 16-3 advantage with 9:45 to go in the third quarter.

Fromm's 3-yard scoring pass to Dominick Blaylock and Blankenship's two field goals helped Georgia build a 13-3 halftime lead, capped by Blankenship's 37-yard field goal 14 seconds before halftime.

The Bulldogs converted 8 of 11 third-down attempts in the first half, when the Gators were 0-for-4 on their tries.

Fromm's scoring pass to Blaylock gave Georgia a 10-0 lead with 4:43 remaining in the second quarter. The 10-play, 59-yard drive took 6:19 and included a 12-yard, third-and-6 pass completion to Cager that was ruled a catch despite replay showing the ball hit the ground.

Florida pulled within 10-3 on Evan McPherson's 38-yard field goal at 2:40 of the second quarter.
