Deon Jackson scored on two short touchdown runs and Duke overwhelmed visiting Georgia Tech in the first half on the way to a 41-23 victory Saturday afternoon in Durham, N.C.

Duke quarterback Quentin Harris, who was charged with five turnovers a week earlier in a loss to Pittsburgh, completed 11 of 20 passes for 176 yards without a giveaway.

Duke (4-2, 2-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) benefited from 74 rushing yards on 13 carries from Mataeo Durant and 69 yards on 20 carries from Jackson.

The Yellow Jackets (1-5, 0-3) lost their fourth straight game.

Georgia Tech quarterback James Graham was 15-for-35 passing for 206 yards and a touchdown through the air. He ran for an 8-yard touchdown late in the first half.

Jordan Mason gained 106 yards on 18 carries for the Yellow Jackets.

The Blue Devils, who've won three straight in the series with Georgia Tech, were up 38-7 after Xavier Gagnon blocked a punt and Javon Jackson returned the ball 14 yards for a touchdown with 3:10 to play in the first half.

Georgia Tech scored first on Graham's 19-yard pass to Jerry Howard Jr. to cap a 12-play march. Those were the first first-quarter points for the Yellow Jackets this season.

The Blue Devils posted the next 38 points.

Duke scored on its first three drives, using a fourth-down pick-up on each of them. The Blue Devils led 10-7 after Eli Pancol's 3-yard run completed a 13-play drive. Pancol, a freshman receiver, scored on his first career carry.

Jackson scored on a 1-yard, fourth-down run early in the second quarter. Harris ran in from 1 yard out and Jackson added a 7-yard scoring run.

Georgia Tech's Tobias Oliver had a 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Georgia Tech linebacker David Curry, the team's leading tackler, was ejected on a targeting call midway through the second quarter.

The Blue Devils, who don't play at home again for almost a month, have scored at least 30 points in every game since a season-opening 42-3 loss to now-No. 1 Alabama.
