Pierre Brooks tallied 20 points and fueled a first-half surge that helped Butler glide past Georgetown 90-66 on Tuesday in Washington.

All five starters scored in double figures for the Bulldogs (13-7, 4-5 Big East), who shot 33 of 58 (56.9 percent) from the floor to complete their two-game regular-season sweep of the Hoyas (8-11, 1-7).

DJ Davis and Jahmyl Telfort added 17 points apiece, Jalen Thomas had 11 and Posh Alexander delivered 10. Brooks added a team-high 11 rebounds to complement his third straight outing of at least 20 points.

Jayden Epps led Georgetown with 16 points, Supreme Cook paired his 12 points with 12 rebounds and Dontrez Styles chipped in 11 points and nine boards.

The Hoyas finished 23 of 66 (34.8 percent) from the field and were outscored 42-26 in the paint as their losing streak reached a season-high four games.

Neither team led by more than a possession until Butler suddenly became white-hot from the floor and made 11 straight field goals to close the first half on a 26-11 run.

Telfort sparked the Bulldogs' hot streak with a jumper that pulled Butler within 21-20 at the 9:57 mark. After Cook answered with a layup for Georgetown, Brooks exploded for 13 straight points on five straight makes, including a trio of triples, over a 3:15 span to boost the Bulldogs ahead 33-23.

Brooks sandwiched another trey between 3-pointers by Jay Heath and Epps, leaving Butler's big guard with a first-half-high 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting.

Telfort delivered the Bulldogs' 11th-straight make to give Butler its largest lead of the first half at 44-29 with 1:55 to play.

The Bulldogs shot 18-of-29 (62.1 percent) to enter halftime ahead 44-32.

The second half played out similarly to the first, with both teams trading scores until Butler seized command after the period's midpoint.

Butler maintained a 52-41 lead with 10:22 to play before rattling off 13 straight points to put the game out of reach.

The Bulldogs' lead peaked at 29 points on Finley Bizjack's 3-point play that made it 84-55 with 3:05 remaining.
