Jordan Pope scored 19 points and Dexter Akanno added 16 as Oregon State snapped an 18-game road losing streak with a 68-48 victory over Cal on Sunday in Berkeley, Calif.

Pope made 8 of 12 shots from the floor and Akanno sank four 3-pointers to help the Beavers (8-12, 2-7 Pac-12) halt a six-game winless skid overall. Oregon State posted its first road victory since recording a 75-70 victory over Utah on March 3, 2021.

Glenn Taylor Jr. scored 11 points and Michael Rataj collected eight points and six rebounds for the Beavers, who shot 54 percent from the floor (27 of 50) and 54.2 percent from 3-point range (13 of 24). Oregon State's 13 made 3-pointers served as a season high.

The Golden Bears (3-17, 2-7) were not as fortunate with their shooting performance and as a result lost their fourth straight game. Cal made just 17.4 percent of its shots from the floor (4 of 23) in the first half and 37.5 percent for the game (18 of 48).

Kuany Kuany scored 15 points and Devin Askew added eight on 2-of-12 shooting from the floor in his return from a five-game absence due to a foot/ankle injury.

Akanno was the lone offensive bright spot in a first half that conservatively could be labeled as bowling-shoe ugly. He pushed his point total to 13 after draining his third 3-pointer to give Oregon State a 19-15 lead.

Taylor converted twice from beyond the arc and Pope sank a jumper as time expired. That stretch capped a 13-0 run for the Beavers, who seized a 27-15 advantage at halftime.

Akanno added his fourth 3-pointer and Pope converted both a three-point play and from beyond the arc to extend Oregon State's lead to 39-20 early in the second half.

Cal went on an 8-0 run before Oregon State answered with a 19-2 run to take a 58-30 advantage. Rataj sank a pair of 3-pointers to highlight the surge that effectively put the game away.
