Kam Jones scored 19 points and Oso Ighodaro and Kolek each added 18 to help the Golden Eagles (22-6, 14-3 Big East) inch closer to securing their first regular-season conference title since 2012-13.

Marquette, which shot 48.3 percent from the floor (28 of 58), has won eight of its last nine games overall and completed a season sweep of the Bluejays. The Golden Eagles posted a 69-58 victory over Creighton on Dec. 16.

Creighton's Baylor Scheierman recorded 18 points and 13 rebounds and Ryan Nembhard had 16 points. Ryan Kalkbrenner added 12 points for the Bluejays (18-10, 12-5), who have lost two of their last three on the heels of an eight-game winning streak.

Kolek drove into the lane before sinking a floater to give Marquette a 71-69 lead with 29 seconds remaining. Trey Alexander was unable to sink a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession, and Jones responded with a pair of made free throws.

Kalkbrenner made a layup to halve the deficit with two seconds remaining. Jones missed a pair of free-throw attempts at the other end, however Scheierman's desperation heave fell short as time expired.

Marquette scored the first eight points of the second half and 31 of the first 44 to claim a 63-53 lead with 7:59 left to play. Jones drained a 3-pointer and added a layup before Ighodaro's layup capped a 13-0 run.

Creighton countered with a 14-4 run that was capped by Scheierman's layup, however Kolek converted a layup on the ensuing possession with 58 seconds remaining. Nembhard forged a tie at 69-69 with a pair of free throws.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper drained a 3-pointer to cut Creighton's lead to 24-20 before the Bluejays went on an 8-0 run, highlighted by a 3-pointer from both Alexander and Nembhard.
