Bennedict Mathurin had 24 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as No. 11 posted another blowout victory, defeating previously unbeaten Wyoming 94-65 on Wednesday night in Tucson, Ariz.

The Wildcats (8-0), who entered the game leading the nation in scoring margin (32.6 points per game), put the game away with a first-half blitz that generated a 53-22 lead. Azuolas Tubelis and Kerr Kriisa each added 17 points for Arizona, which shot 52.8 percent from the field.

Wyoming (8-1) recovered to shoot 48.4 percent in the second half, but it was too little, too late against its best competition of the season by far. Xavier DuSell poured in 22 points, hitting 6 of 12 shots from 3-point range. Graham Ike added 17 points.

Justin Kier was another double-digit scorer for Arizona with 13 points. Dalen Terry filled the box score with seven points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals.

Mathurin, who made 10 of 16 shots from the field, has 53 points in the past two games.

Arizona, averaging a national-best 91.3 points per game, roared from the opening tip, going on an early 11-0 run and making five of its first seven 3-point attempts.

The Wildcats had a double-digit lead for good five minutes into the game and later had runs of 9-0, 8-0 and 10-0, the last of those ending the first half. Kriisa hit a long 3-pointer from straightaway in the final minute to give Arizona a 53-22 lead at the break.

Mathurin and Kriisa each had 14 first-half points, and Tubelis scored 11 before the break. Ike led the Cowboys with eight points prior to halftime.

Arizona led by as many as 36 points early in the second half.

Arizona played without rotational forward Kim Aiken Jr., who missed the game due to personal reasons, according to the school. His status was Saturday's game at Illinois was not immediately known.

Wyoming returns to home to face Utah Valley on Saturday.
