Jahvon Blair scored 22 points, including a back-breaking 3-pointer in the last two minutes, as Georgetown pulled off an 86-79 Big East Conference upset of No. 15 Creighton on Wednesday night in Omaha, Neb.

Blair, who also dished out seven assists, banked in a 25-footer from the deep left wing as the shot clock expired with 1:36 left in the game to give the Hoyas (5-8, 3-5 Big East) a 79-70 lead. The shot withstood a quick replay review, even though the ball appeared to be in Blair's hand when the shot clock expired.

Chudier Bile scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds for Georgetown while Jamorko Pickett kicked in 16 points and seven boards. Qudus Wahab contributed 12 points and eight rebounds as the Hoyas hit 50 percent of their field-goal attempts and sank 10 of 21 shots from 3-point range.

Denzel Mahoney scored 22 points for the Bluejays (13-5, 9-4), and Mitch Ballock hit for 16. Marcus Zegarowski added 14 points before fouling out and Christian Bishop finished with 14 points and 10 boards.

Georgetown took the lead for good on one of Blair's five 3-pointers just 2:58 into the second half. The Hoyas led by as many as 11 points down the stretch and kept the 13 1/2-point favorites at bay.

Georgetown in general and Blair in particular wasted little time setting the game's tone. Blair turned a Creighton turnover into a transition layup 23 seconds into the contest, allowing the Hoyas to feel comfortable right away.

The Bluejays did lead 11-10 at the first TV timeout, but Georgetown soon rattled off 11 straight points in a 2:36 span, opening up a 21-13 advantage when Bile converted a Creighton turnover into a layup at the 12:05 mark.

The margin reached 11 on a Pickett jumper with 2:56 remaining in the half before the Bluejays ripped off eight straight points. However, when Donald Carey played beat the buzzer with a runner in the lane to make it 44-39, the Hoyas carried momentum into the locker room.

Georgetown overcame 10 first-half turnovers by sinking 16 of 28 field-goal attempts, including 8 of 13 from beyond the arc.
