Trayce Jackson-Davis had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead Indiana to an 82-72 home win over Minnesota in a Big Ten game on Wednesday in Bloomington, Ind.

Jerome Hunter and Al Durham each scored 16 points, Armaan Franklin scored 11 points and Rob Phinisee added 10 points for the Hoosiers (12-9, 7-7 Big Ten).

Marcus Carr and Jamal Mashburn Jr. each scored 19 points, Brandon Johnson scored 12 points and Tre Williams added 11 points in defeat for Minnesota (13-9, 6-9), which fell to 0-8 on the road.

Mashburn's point total was a career high.

Indiana committed 17 turnovers to just eight for Minnesota, but the Hoosiers outrebounded Minnesota by a 34-24 margin.

Indiana also shot 57.8 percent from the field (26 of 45).

Trailing 55-53 with 8:35 remaining in the game, Indiana took control of the game after that.

The Hoosiers first went on an 8-0 run to take a 61-55 lead with 6:41 left, then following a Minnesota basket, Indiana went on a 10-0 run to take its biggest lead of the game at 71-57 with 3:09 remaining.

Minnesota did mount a final charge, cutting the Indiana lead to 75-68 with 1:38 left after a steal and layup by Carr.

But that is as close as the Golden Gophers got.

Minnesota held a 45-39 lead with 17:14 remaining in the game, but Indiana mounted a surge, going on a 13-1 run over the next 3:49 to take a 52-46 lead with 13:25 left.

Minnesota answered with a 9-1 run of its own to take a 55-53 lead with 8:35 remaining, but Indiana responded with an 8-0 run to take a 61-55 lead with 6:41 left.

Indiana held a 27-21 lead with 6:37 left in the first half, but Minnesota finished the half strong, outscoring the Hoosiers 16-8 the rest of the half to take a 37-35 lead at halftime.
