Teddy Allen's driving basket with 12 seconds remaining lifted Nebraska to a 62-61 victory at Penn State in Big Ten action Sunday in University Park, Pa.

It was the first conference win of the season for the Cornhuskers (5-12, 1-9), who were playing their third game in five days. It was their first victory since Dec. 17, snapping a nine-game losing streak.

Nebraska led 60-49 with 8:43 left in the game, but Penn State clamped down defensively and roared back, using a 12-0 run to take a 61-60 lead after a four-point play by Myreon Jones with 1:58 remaining.

After a turnover by Jones, Walker's winning runner snapped a Nebraska scoring drought of more than eight minutes.

The Nittany Lions couldn't get off a shot attempt on their final possession, as Nebraska's Trey McGowens stole the ball in the final seconds.

Allen scored 14 points, Kobe Webster came off of the bench to score 13 points and McGowens added 10 points for Nebraska.

Jones scored 18 points and Myles Dread scored 14 points for Penn State (7-10, 4-9), which has lost three of its last four games.

With the game tied 35-35 at halftime, Nebraska started the second half with a 10-3 run to take a 45-38 lead with 17:14 remaining in the game.

After Penn State cut its deficit to 51-47 with 13:46 left, Nebraska used a 9-2 surge to stretch its lead to 60-49.

The Nittany Lions started the game strong, taking a 20-12 lead midway through the first half before the Cornhuskers responded.

The Huskers went on a 12-5 run over the next 5:51 to cut Penn State's lead to 25-24 and then took a 35-32 lead with 1:23 left in the first half before Penn State tied it at 35-35 going into halftime.
