Missouri is 5-0 this season in games decided by five or fewer points. The Tigers have defeated four nationally ranked teams for the first time since their 2011-12 season.

The Tigers raced to a quick 14-7 lead with Dru Smith scoring nine points in the first 3 1/2 minutes of the game.

After the Crimson Tide cut the deficit to four points, Tigers center Jeremiah Tilmon converted a three-point play to trigger a 17-5 run.

Alabama turned the ball over seven times in the first 11 minutes while falling behind 31-15.

Missouri took a 44-28 lead into the half. The Tigers got points from eight different players in the first half, including a combined 25 from Dru Smith and Mark Smith.

Meanwhile Alabama missed 22-of-32 shots from the floor and 5-of-9 free throws during the first 20 minutes.
