E.J. Liddell recorded a double-double with a team-high 19 points and 12 rebounds, and No. 22 Ohio State rallied for a 90-85 win over host Notre Dame on Tuesday as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in South Bend, Ind.

Justice Sueing and C.J. Walker added 16 points apiece for Ohio State (4-0), which stormed back from an 11-point deficit early in the second half. Duane Washington Jr. (13) and Justin Ahrens (12) also scored in double figures for the Buckeyes.

Prentiss Hubb had 26 points, six rebounds and six assists for Notre Dame (1-2). Nate Laszewski scored 17 and Dane Goodwin finished with 16.

Liddell scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half, including a jump shot with 50.7 seconds remaining that gave Ohio State an 85-80 advantage.

Notre Dame pulled within 86-85 with 22.4 seconds to go after Hubb converted a three-point play, but the Fighting Irish could not get any closer as Ohio State made its free-throw attempts.

Earlier in the second half, the Fighting Irish built a double-digit lead with 14:28 remaining when Laszewski's two free throws gave Notre Dame a 55-44 advantage.

Ohio State responded with a 7-0 run to trim the deficit to 55-51 with 12:57 left. Jimmy Sotos took a pass from Sueing and drained a 3-pointer to punctuate the run.

The Buckeyes stayed aggressive, eventually grabbing the lead at 62-61 with 8:44 to go. Walker made two free throws to give Ohio State its first lead since midway through the first half.

Notre Dame led 42-34 at halftime.

The score was tied at 34 when the Fighting Irish went on an 8-0 run to take control before intermission. Ryan made a jump shot to spark the outburst, which also included a layup by Juwan Durham, a jump shot by Hubb and a slam dunk by Laszewski off a fast break.

The Buckeyes were held scoreless for the final 3:19 of the first half.

Cormac Ryan led the Fighting Irish with 15 points before the break, but he was held scoreless in the second half. Ahrens had nine points to lead Ohio State before halftime.
