Remy Martin scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half as Arizona State overcame an early 13-point deficit for an 80-67 victory over St. John's in the semifinals of the Air Force Reserve Tip-Off tournament in Uncasville, Conn. on Saturday afternoon.

Romello White had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Sun Devils (3-1), who beat the Red Storm for the third straight season and knocked them out of the NCAA tournament with a First Four victory last March.

Rob Edwards had 13 points and seven rebounds and freshman Jaelen House had 11 points, six rebounds and three steals for Arizona State.

LJ Figueroa had 17 points and six rebounds and freshman Julian Champagnie had a season-high 15 and seven rebounds for the Red Storm (4-2), who got only seven points from leading scorer Mustapha Heron. Heron, who was averaging 17.8 points a game, had one field goal -- a dunk with 1:44 remaining.

The Sun Devils, who trailed 40-31 at half, have won 22 games when behind at halftime in coach Bobby Hurley's four seasons. They had 22 fast-break points.

In a game of runs, Martin had 11 straight points and White capped a 14-0 burst with a three-point play when the Sun Devils took a 49-44 lead with 13:57 remaining. House late made back-to-back layups and White hit a jumper to extend the lead to 75-60 with 3:07 remaining.

Figueroa had two 3-pointers and Nick Rutherford had a pair of baskets when the Red Storm took a 15-2 lead. The Sun Devils missed their first six field goal attempts.

Arizona State recovered for a 14-1 run as Edwards made a pair of field goals and House sank a 3-pointer and a pair of free throws. The teams played evenly until Figueroa's layup ignited 13-4 stretch for a 40-31 halftime advantage.

Sun Devils sophomore Elias Valtonen had a career-high 10 points while starting for guard Alonzo Verge Jr., who was held out because of an undisclosed injury.
