Kristian Doolittle scored 22 points to lead the visiting Oklahoma Sooners on a late decisive surge on the way to a 72-62 win over the Texas Longhorns on Wednesday in Big 12 Conference action from Austin, Texas.

The game was tied at 48 after a 3-point jumper by the Longhorns' Courtney Ramey with 10:55 to play. But Oklahoma slowly pulled away, forging an 11-2 run to take 61-53 advantage heading to the final six minutes.

The Sooners kept up the pace, pushing the game out of reach at 66-55 on a bucket by Kur Kuath with 3:36 remaining.

Jamal Bieniemy scored 11 points and Austin Reaves added 10 points for the Sooners (11-3, 2-0 in Big 12), who won their fourth straight game. It was Oklahoma's first win in Austin since 2015. The Longhorns had been 4-0 against Oklahoma under Shaka Smart in games played in Austin.

Oklahoma outshot the Longhorns 50 percent to 37.5 percent for the game. Texas went just 8 of 29 from 3-point range.

Texas (10-4, 0-2) was led Ramey's 14 points and by Jericho Sims' 12 points and a career-high-tying 15 rebounds, recording his third straight double-double.

Matt Coleman III and Jase Febres added 10 points each for the Longhorns, who have lost two straight and dropped its first home game of the season after seven wins.

Texas led 29-20 after a jumper by Febres with 7:15 to play in the first half but the Sooners closed the half with a 14-4 run and led 34-33 at halftime.

Oklahoma, which hit on 50 percent of its shots in the first half, got 13 points from Doolittle. Texas stayed in the game thanks to balanced scoring (Ramey led the Longhorns with seven first-half points) and a 21-17 edge on the glass.
