Olivier Sarr posted a career-high point total for the second game in a row, racking up 30 points in Wake Forest's 84-73 victory visiting Notre Dame on Saturday in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Sarr, a junior center, also had 17 rebounds in the home finale as the Demon Deacons won for the second game in a row against a team in the upper half of the Atlantic Coast Conference standings.

Chaundee Brown added 15 points and 10 rebounds and Brandon Childress, a senior in his final home game, notched 14 points for Wake Forest (13-15, 6-12 ACC), which pulled off a double-overtime victory against No. 7 Duke on Tuesday night.

This marked the fourth time this season that Wake Forest had a rematch against a team that defeated it earlier in the season. The Demon Deacons have won the second game all four times.

The result was a blow to Notre Dame's NCAA Tournament aspirations, also ending a three-game winning streak for the Irish (18-11, 9-9).

Notre Dame forward John Mooney posted his 24th double-double of the season with 24 points and 17 rebounds. Nate Laszewski added 15 points and Dane Goodwin had 10 points.

Notre Dame nearly erased a 16-point deficit by the 15-minute mark in the second half, pulling within 45-43.

The Irish didn't go ahead until TJ Gibbs' layup off a turnover for a 57-55 edge, but that lead didn't last long.

When Sarr scored off a rebound, it gave Wake Forest a 66-61 edge.

The Demon Deacons have back-to-back wins for the first time since Dec. 21 and Jan. 4.

Wake Forest broke away midway through the first half, building the 16-point gap. Its lead was 41-30 at halftime, bolstered by 53.3-percent shooting in the first half.

Sarr and Mooney had double-doubles by halftime.

Wake Forest senior guard Torry Johnson was out with a leg injury suffered against Duke until he entered for the game's final four seconds.

Notre Dame won 90-80 against Wake Forest in a January meeting at home.
