Sophomore forward Malik Osborne scored 12 of his team-high 14 points in the first half as 17th-ranked Florida State routed North Alabama 88-71 on Saturday afternoon in Tallahassee, Fla.

FSU (11-2) led by as many as 30 points before cruising to its fourth straight win.

The Seminoles -- a team that relies on depth, pressure defense and transition offense -- entered the game with no players averaging more than 11.9 points per game. Five players scored in double figures in Saturday's runaway win.

Osborne, who sat out last season after transferring from Rice, made 6 of 12 shots from the floor, including 2 of 5 on 3-pointers.

Two FSU freshmen combined for 25 points -- 7-foot-1 center Balsa Koprivica (13 points) and 6-9 forward Pat Williams (12).

Seminoles senior point guard Trent Forrest had 10 points and a game-high six assists, and sophomore guard Anthony Polite had 11 points.

North Alabama (5-8), in its second year as a Division I program, lost its third straight game.

Lions guard Jamari Blackmon, who was named the Atlantic Sun Conference's Freshman of the Year last season, scored a game-high 15 points. Junior forward James Anderson scored 13 points, and Christian Agnew, who made the league's All-Freshman team last season, had 12 points.

The game went back and forth in the first four-plus minutes. FSU got off to a fast start, making 3-of-4 shots to take a 6-0 lead. North Alabama came right back, making 3 of 4 shots to take a 7-6 lead.

The rest of the first half, however, was all Seminoles, who went into the break with a 47-26 lead. The Seminoles made 57.1 percent of their shots from the floor in the first half. North Alabama made 38.5 percent.

North Alabama never made a serious run in the second half, although it finished with 46.2 percent shooting for the game, including 10 of 20 on 3-pointers.

FSU shot 50 percent from the floor and 17-for-17 at the foul line.

The Seminoles are 56-3 at home since the end of the 2015-2016 season. They have won 38 consecutive home games against nonconference opponents and 13 straight against any foe.
