Brevin Pritzl notched his first career double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead Wisconsin past Marquette 77-61 on Sunday at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wis.

Brad Davison scored 15 points, and Aleem Ford added 12 points and seven boards for the Badgers.

Wisconsin (3-1) had six players score in double figures and made 11 of 23 3-pointers (47.8 percent). Pritzl led the Badgers with three 3s.

"Brevin Pritzl, my only senior, did a great job of getting us going," Wisconsin coach Greg Gard said. "He can really shoot it when he gets it going."

Marquette, donning its new alternate black Jordan uniforms for the first time, shot 37.3 percent (19 of 51) and committed 15 turnovers.

Koby McEwen scored a team-high 19 points and pulled down seven boards to lead the Golden Eagles (2-1). Marquette guard Markus Howard started fast but fizzled, shooting 6-for-21 from the field to end with 18 points.

Davison gave the Badgers a 43-34 lead with a layup with 17:20 left. Tyler Wahl drained a corner jumper to extend the lead to 48-36. The Badgers gained control when Howard missed 11 consecutive shots that included all nine of his attempts in the second half.

The Badgers pulled away when Davison, D'Mitrik Trice and Pritzl each drilled long 3s on three consecutive possessions in a 9-0 run to pad the lead to 67-51.

Wisconsin scored nine straight points to gain a 9-3 lead before Howard scored five straight points to ignite a 13-7 run that led to Marquette gaining an 18-16 advantage. Howard scored 12 points in the surge.

Jayce Johnson, a graduate transfer from Utah, saw action for the first time for Marquette when he entered the game with 8:24 left in the first half. He played five minutes.

Wisconsin's Kobe King was a factor after sitting out Wednesday's win over McNeese State due to an ankle injury. King, who scored a career-high 18 points against Eastern Illinois on Nov. 8, finished with 10 points.

Howard, the all-time leading scorer in program history, made 6 of 12 shots for 16 first-half points to keep the deficit from getting out of hand. The Badgers closed the half with a 15-9 run to lead 34-29.

The Badgers upped their series advantage to 68-58 over their state rivals, who are separated by 75 miles.
