Jarrett Culver scored 16 points and Matt Mooney added 15 as Texas Tech dominated from start to finish in a 70-51 win over Texas on Monday in a key Big 12 game at Lubbock, Texas.

The Red Raiders (25-5, 13-4 Big 12) kept pace with Kansas State, which beat TCU earlier on Monday, with one regular-season game to play. Texas Tech and the Wildcats (23-7, 13-4) are tied for first place in the conference, 1 1/2 games ahead of Kansas (22-7, 11-5). The Jayhawks have won or shared the league crown each of the past 14 seasons.

The Red Raiders completed a regular-season sweep over Texas for the first time since the 1995-96 campaign and added to a pair of program records by earning a 13th conference victory of the season and extending their conference winning streak to eight games.

Texas Tech led by nine points at intermission and never flinched in the second half, running its lead to as many as 21 points in the final minute.

Brandone Francis added 12 points for Texas Tech while Davide Moretti made all four of his shots from the floor and scored 11 points.

The Red Raiders canned 50 percent of their shots (25 of 50 from the floor) and held the Longhorns to 29.6 percent shooting and a 4-for-18 showing from beyond the arc.

The Longhorns (16-14, 8-9) lost for the third time in their past four games.

Matt Coleman led Texas with 16 points, with Elijah Mitrou-Long adding 11 in the defeat. Jase Febres, the reigning Big 12 player of the week, scored just four points on 1-of-10 shooting and an 0-of-5 performance on 3-pointers.

Texas Tech took charge of the game early on, leading by as many as 15 points in the first half on the way to a 32-23 lead at halftime. The Red Raiders outshot Texas 54 percent to 30 percent over the first 20 minutes.

The Red Raiders finish the regular season on the road at Iowa State on Saturday. Texas heads home to host TCU on Saturday in a crucial game for both teams' NCAA Tournament aspirations.
