Dereon Seabron scored a career-high 39 points, 25 coming after a scary collision midway through the second half, as North Carolina State outlasted visiting Nebraska 104-100 in four overtimes on Wednesday night in Raleigh, N.C.

The first quadruple-OT game in Big Ten/ACC Challenge history also featured seven player disqualifications, three the result of a kerfuffle near the NC State bench in the second half, with Seabron scoring the most points in a game during the crossover event's 23-year history.

Seabron, who also had 18 rebounds, was 11 of 22 from the field and 17 of 20 from the foul line. His 39 points were the most by an NC State player since TJ Warren scored 42 in March 2014.

The Wolfpack (6-1) won their 28th consecutive nonconference home game, while Nebraska (5-3) had its four-game losing streak come to an end.

Seabron forced overtime by splitting two free throws with five seconds left in regulation, and his two foul shots with six seconds left in the first OT forced a second extra period.

Nebraska blew a five-point lead with 1:44 left in the second overtime and needed a free throw from Bryce McGowens with 2 1/2 seconds left to force a third extra period.

The third OT ended at 92-all after Ebenezer Dowuona scored on a putback with five seconds left, and each team missed game-winning shots.

Both teams held sizable leads at one point in regulation, with NC State up 23-14 with 10:05 remaining in the first half, and Nebraska leading 61-47 advantage with 9:51 left in the second half.

NC State used a 14-0 run to tie it 61 on a corner 3-pointer by Jericole Hellems with 6:08 in regulation to go, prompting Nebraska to call timeout.

What followed was a skirmish between Hellems and Nebraska's Lat Mayen that caused the benches to clear. The skirmish led to multiple ejections, including Mayen and Kobe Webster for Nebraska and Cam Hayes for NC State.

During that 14-0 run, Seabron knocked knees with NC State's CJ Wilcher, crumpling to the ground and later being taken to the locker room. He only missed 81 seconds of game play.

Alonzo Verge Jr. led Nebraska with 25 points, and McGowens finished with 24.
