Michael Devoe scored 17 points, Jordan Usher added 14 and 11 rebounds and Georgia Tech rolled past visiting Stetson 77-52 Friday night in Atlanta.

Deebo Coleman scored 12 for the Yellow Jackets (1-1), who never trailed as they bounced back from their opening loss to Miami (Ohio).

Devoe hit 7-of-11 field goal attempts, including 3-of-5 from three-point range, and added seven assists.

Chase Johnston scored 13 points and Josh Smith added 11 for Stetson (1-1).

The Yellow Jackets shot 51.6 percent (33-of-64) from the field and outrebounded the Hatters 43-32.

Stetson managed just 35 percent (21-of-60).

A 7-3 run to open the second half pulled Stetson within 42-29. The Hatters got within 12 before Deivon Smith hit a three-pointer. A three-pointer by Miles Kelly followed by Smith's pullup jumper made it 54-35, and Stetson coach Donnie Jones called time out.

Coleman's fourth three-pointer pushed the lead to 20, but Stetson soon cut it to 16 although they could get no closer.

A three-pointer by Devoe and Usher's alley-oop dunk on consecutive possessions pushed the lead to 69-46 with 4:58 remaining, and Georgia Tech coach Josh Pastner began emptying his bench.

The Yellow Jackets hit four of their first five shots and led 11-3 after Khalid Moore's three-point play at 16:14 of the first half.

Georgia Tech then reeled off a 9-0 run capped by Coleman's three-pointer made it 24-8 at 9:36.

Coleman's three-pointer increased the lead to 33-13 with 4:38 remaining in the first half.

Johnston and Smith sparked a 9-0 Stetson run before Georgia Tech scored four quick points late to take a 39-22 lead into intermission.

The Yellow Jackets shot 56.7 percent (17-for-30) in the half, and Devoe led all scorers with 11 points. Georgia Tech score 24 of its points in the paint.

Johnston led the Hatters with nine points. Stetson shot 32.1 percent (9-for-28) and turned the ball over 11 times.
