Scoring the first 10 points of the game on Wednesday night, Georgia never trailed as it walloped Missouri 77-59 in a Southeastern Conference mismatch at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga.

Guard J.J. Frazier paced the balanced Bulldogs (8-4, 1-1) with 16 points and six rebounds, and forward Yande Maten added 15 points and six rebounds. Point guard Charles Mann contributed 14 points, six rebounds and six assists, and guard Kenny Gaines chipped in 11 points.

Frazier hit a 3-pointer 19 seconds into the game to begin the run that established Georgia's superiority. The Bulldogs took a 45-32 lead into the locker room at halftime, then expanded it to 22 before the second half was 6 1/2 minutes old and cruised to the finish.

Freshman forward Kevin Puryear pumped in a game-high 19 points for the Tigers (7-7, 0-1). Guard Wes Clark scored 13 points but converted just 5 of 15 shots from the field.

Georgia made nearly 55 percent of its shots from the field, sinking 11 of 19 3-point tries, and had assists on 19 of its 29 field goals. It won the rebounding battle 35-28.

Missouri shot 34.5 percent from the field, going 3 of 18 on 3-pointers.
