: Jamaal Franklin scored 19 points and matched a season high with 15 rebounds as the Aztecs held off the Sycamores to advance to the title game at the Diamond Head Classic.

Franklin recorded his fifth double-double of the season while Chase Tapley followed his career-high 33-point performance on Saturday with 13 points. San Diego State (10-2) has won 11 straight and will face No. 5 Arizona in the championship game on Christmas Day.

Indiana State (7-3), which upset Mississippi on Saturday, trailed by just three points at intermission and managed to take a 38-35 lead following two free throws from Jake Odum with 13 minutes remaining.

James Rahon nailed a 3-pointer and, after an exchange of baskets, Franklin sank four free throws to spark a 9-2 run to leave San Diego State with a 51-44 advantage. The Sycamores closed to within three points with 2:20 left, but Franklin sank hit four more free throws over the final 46 seconds as Indiana State was unable to make it a one-possession game.

R.J. Mahurin had 15 points to pace Indiana State.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Franklin scored in double figures for the 32nd straight game. … San Diego State shot just 4-for-17 from the 3-point line and converted 18 of 28 free throws en route to its worst offensive output since a 60-44 victory over Missouri State on Nov. 17. … The Aztecs have won 24 consecutive games in December.
