Kansas State 66, Delaware 63:
Thomas Gipson, Will Spradling and Angel Rodriguez scored 12 points apiece as the Wildcats held off the Blue Hens in the semifinals of the NIT Season Tip-Off at Madison Square Garden.

Terrell Rogers hit a long jumper with 28 seconds left to cut the Wildcats’ lead to 62-60, but Spradling made four free throws to secure the victory. Devon Saddler led Delaware (2-2) with 32 points on 12-of-23 shooting, including three 3-pointers.

Spradling had six rebounds for Kansas State (5-0), which led by four with 14 minutes remaining when Delaware forward Jamelle Hagins left the game with cramps in both legs. The Wildcats promptly went on a 15-8 run and led 54-43 with 8:53 to play on Shane Southwell's 3-pointer.

The Blue Hens shot just 61.1 percent (11-of-18) from the foul line and were outrebounded 39-31. Hagins re-entered the game briefly after Southwell’s basket, but he was a non-factor down the stretch and finished with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Kansas State will face No. 4 Michigan in Friday’s championship game at 4:30 p.m. ET, following the third-place game between Delaware and Pittsburgh at 2:30.

GAME NOTEBOOK: There was a five-minute delay midway through the second half when one of the cables holding up the shot clock came loose. … Delaware guard Jarvis Threatt joined Hagins on the bench in the second half with leg cramps. …Kansas State has three players with New York-area ties in Jordan Henriquez, Omari Lawrence and Southwell.
