Anthony Hickey scored all 12 of his points in the final 12:16, including a floater in the lane with 1.5 seconds left, as the visiting Tigers rallied from a 17-point deficit.

Hickey, who scored the final seven LSU points, hit a 3-pointer with 16.5 seconds remaining to put the Tigers ahead 67-66 before Trivante Bloodman gave the Bulldogs the lead back on a driving basket with 7.9 seconds to go. Mississippi State (7-13, 2-6 SEC) has lost six straight.

Johnny O'Bryant had 12 points and 12 rebounds - his fifth consecutive double-double - before fouling out with 1:27 to play for LSU (12-7, 3-5), which was 4-for-25 from 3-point range. Shavon Coleman added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers, while Gavin Ware led five Bulldogs in double figures with 14 points.

Mississippi State went on an 11-0 run as LSU missed seven shots and committed four turnovers during the span to go ahead 22-8 en route to a 40-26 lead at the break. Ware scored 10 points on 5-for-5 shooting prior to the intermission, including the final two Bulldogs' buckets.

After the Tigers tied the game at 60 on a pair of O'Bryant free throws with 3:15 left, the Bulldogs retook the lead on two foul shots by Fred Thomas. Roquez Johnson's basket was followed by Bloodman's steal and driving layup as Mississippi State took a 66-60 lead with 1:47 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bulldogs entered the game averaging 60.6 points, 315th among the 347 Division I teams in the country, and had scored 47 and 49 points in their last two games. They reached 50 with 13:10 to go Saturday. ... LSU, which was shooting 61.1 percent from the free-throw line, was 15-for-18, while Mississippi State was 13-for-27. ... The Bulldogs have lost four in a row at home for the first time since 2006.
