No. 18 Kansas State 67, Texas Christian 54: Rodney McGruder scored 21 points as the visiting Wildcats extended their winning streak to seven with the Big 12 victory.

TCU doesn’t have a player taller than 6-8 and Kansas State (14-2, 3-0 Big 12) took advantage with 6-11 Jordan Henriquez and 6-10 Adrian Diaz. They scored eight points apiece off the bench and Henriquez corralled a season-high 10 rebounds. Martavious Irving also scored eight points off the bench for the Wildcats.

Adrick McKinney scored a career-high 18 points and the 6-8 senior forward grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Horned Frogs (9-8, 0-4). Kyan Anderson contributed 10 points for TCU.

The Horned Frogs scored eight of the game’s first 10 points, but an 8-0 run put the Wildcats ahead 13-10, and they never trailed again. McGruder scored 14 points in the first half as Kansas State stretched its lead to 38-25 at the break.

McGruder, Will Spradling and Shane Southwell made 3-pointers on three of the first four second-half possessions for the Wildcats to extend the lead to 47-29.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kansas State entered the game third in the nation in offensive rebounds (15.9) and grabbed 10. … TCU entered the week 341st in the nation in scoring (55.2) and eighth in scoring defense (55.3). … Kansas State is 3-0 in conference play for the first time in five years.
