DePaul 78, Arizona State 61:
Junior guard Brandon Young scored a game-high 18 points and dished off nine assists as the visiting Blue Demons won their fifth straight game while also snapping the Sun Devils' four-game winning streak.

Senior guard Worrel Clahar came off the bench to add 14 points while forward Cleveland Melvin finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds for DePaul (7-3).

Arizona State (8-2), which was 7-0 at home coming into the contest, had four players in double figures with guards Evan Gordon and Jahii Carson and swingman Carrick Felix all finishing with 12 points.

The Sun Devils started quickly, jumping out to a 7-0 lead with in the first three minutes, and leading 13-11 midway through the first half. But DePaul took control with a 20-8 run en route to a 42-33 halftime lead.

Arizona State got as close as 44-38 on a dunk and free throw by 7-2 junior center Jordan Bachynski with 18:54 left, but the Blue Demons broke the game open with another 22-6 run that included seven points off the bench from junior forward Moses Morgan.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bachynski, who had a school-record 12 blocks while compiling the first triple-double in school history in Saturday's 87-76 win over Cal State Northridge, finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. ... The Sun Devils were attempting to start 9-1 for the fifth time in 38 years. ... Young became the 11th player in DePaul history to score 1,000 points and also have 300 assists.
