: Patrick Heckmann scored 14 of his 18 points in the first half and Lonnie Jackson buried three 3-pointers in the second half as the host Eagles outlasted the Terriers.

Jackson and Olivier Hanlan both had 13 points for Boston College (4-5), which was in danger of losing its third straight at home before a big surge in the second half. The Eagles forced 18 turnovers and made 14 of their 16 free throws.

Jalen Cannon led St. Francis Brooklyn (2-5) with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Kevin Douglas contributed 13 points for the Terriers.

The Terriers ended the first half on a 15-6 run to take a two-point lead at the break and scored the first seven points of the second half. However, an Eddie Odio dunk moments later ignited a 20-4 burst for the hosts. Joe Rahon's 3-pointer with 8:54 remaining capped the run and gave the Eagles a 59-52 lead.

St. Francis Brooklyn got within a point with under six minutes left but Jackson answered with his last 3-pointer, this one from well beyond the arc, to start a quick 7-0 run. BC's lead was at least four points the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Terriers' last five games have been decided by single digits. They are 1-4 in that stretch. ... Eagles C Dennis Clifford missed his second straight game with a sprained right ankle. ... Rahon had 12 points, five assists and three steals for BC.
