Arkansas 89, Florida A&M 60: Marshawn Powell scored a season-high 21 points and Arkansas routed visiting Florida A&M in the Las Vegas Invitational.

After missing most of last season with a serious knee injury, Powell continued his strong start by shooting 8-of-14 while also pulling down 10 rebounds. Reserve Rickey Scott added 13 and B.J. Young chipped in 12 as the Razorbacks (3-0) shot 40.3 percent while recording 10 steals and eight blocked shots.

Reggie Lewis led the Rattlers (0-4) with 15 points and Muhammad Abdul-Aleem added 14. Leading scorer Jamie Adams scored just two points and was 0-for-10 from the floor as Florida A&M shot 31.7 percent and committed 22 turnovers.

Powell scored eight straight points for Arkansas as it took an 11-point lead just five minutes into the contest. The Razorbacks also scored 12 straight points midway through the first half and took a 49-31 edge at halftime.

Florida A&M was within 55-44 five minutes into the second half but the Razorbacks ripped off a 13-0 run for a 68-44 edge with 10 minutes remaining.
