Northwestern 80, Fairleigh Dickinson 53: Reggie Hearn scored all 14 of his points in the first half and the host Wildcats never trailed in routing the Knights in the first round of the South Padre Island Invitational.

Northwestern (3-0) raced to a 41-14 halftime lead by committing just one turnover and holding Fairleigh Dickinson (0-2) to just 21.4 percent shooting in the opening half and forcing seven turnovers.

Alex Olah added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats and Drew Crawford and Dave Sobolewski each tallied eight.

Northwestern recorded a 36-16 edge in points in the paint.

Mathias Seilund scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Knights and Melquan Bolding added 12.
