Iowa 65, Gardner-Webb 56: Josh Oglesby and Aaron White scored 13 points apiece and the host Hawkeyes rallied from a 23-point deficit to remain unbeaten.

Iowa trailed 38-18 at halftime before opening the second half on a 21-4 run and taking its first lead at 47-46 on Oglesby’s 3-pointer with 8:23 remaining. Roy Devyn Marble hit a 3-point shot with 2:18 left to extend Iowa’s lead to eight and the Hawkeyes (4-0) never trailed again.

Onzie Branch had a team-high 13 points for Gardner-Webb (2-3), which made only five of its 25 shots in the second half while Iowa shot 50 percent. Max Landis and Donta Harper added 12 points apiece for the Runnin' Bulldogs.

White grabbed 10 rebounds for the Hawkeyes, who outrebounded Gardner-Webb 40-35. Adam Woodbury added 12 points and eight rebounds, and Marble had 11 points.

Iowa won despite a dismal first half when the Hawkeyes shot 20.8 percent from the field and misfired on all eight of their 3-point attempts.
