: Zach McCabe hit all four of his 3-point attempts en route to 14 points and added eight rebounds as the host Hawkeyes cruised to a season-opening victory over the Broncs.

Aaron White (16), Rov Devyn Marble (11) and freshman Adam Woodbury (10) also scored in double figures for Iowa, which shot 44.9 percent from the field.

Brandon Provost and Aaron Urbanus led Texas-Pan American with 13 points apiece while Josh Cleveland chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds.

McCabe's 3-pointer 14 seconds into regulation started a 17-2 game-opening run as Iowa seized control immediately. The Hawkeyes closed the half on an 11-2 spurt - keyed by another McCabe 3-pointer - and entered intermission with a 45-24 edge.

Woodbury's layup 3:42 into the second half sparked a 10-0 stretch as the Iowa lead ballooned to 65-35 with 14:04 remaining. The Broncs were unable to cut the deficit to fewer than 24 points the rest of the way.
