Murphy Holloway scored 20 points as Mississippi downed Texas Christian 80-69 in the consolation game of the Paradise Jam Tournament on Monday.

Freshman point guard Jarvis Summers scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half for the Rebels (4-1), who shot a season-high 60 percent from the field.

The Rebels, who entered this game with one of the worst field goal percentages in the country at 35.9 percent, warmed up from the field by using their size advantage over the Horned Frogs and limiting their 3-point attempts.

Mississippi was 2-for-6 from 3-point range - 16 below its season average for attempts - but made it up by getting a combined 35 points from its starting frontcourt of Holloway, Terrance Henry and Demarco Cox.

Ole Miss shot a torrid 68.2 percent from the field in the first half, yet could only manage a 35-33 halftime lead because TCU grabbed 11 offensive rebounds and forced 13 first-half turnovers – the fifth time in as many games the Horned Frogs forced at least that many turnovers before the break.

TCU (3-2) led by as many as four points seven-plus minutes into the second half, but Ole Miss repeatedly went inside from that point against the smaller Horned Frogs to establish a 72-61 with less than two minutes remaining.

Guard J.R. Cadot finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Horned Frogs.
