SAN DIEGO STATE 66, BOISE STATE 53: Jamaal Franklin had 18 points and 12 rebounds and the No. 23 Aztecs remained tied for first place in the Mountain West Conference with a dominant win over the host Broncos.

When the teams met last month in San Diego, Boise State lost 58-56 when Thomas Bropleh missed a wide-open 3-pointer at the buzzer. This time the Aztecs led by 16 at halftime and cruised to their third straight win.

San Diego State (23-6, 9-4 Mountain West) shot 50 percent from the field and closed the first half on a 14-4 run to draw clear of Boise State (13-15, 3-10), which remains tied for last in the MWC with Air Force.

Derrick Marks scored 13 points and Anthony Drmic added 10 for the Broncos, who trailed by 21 with eight minutes left and made only two of their 16 3-point attempts.

San Diego State, which is looking to close the regular season with two road wins for the first time since 1977, outrebounded the Broncos 30-25. Tim Shelton and Chase Tapley added 11 points apiece.

The Aztecs, who are tied for first with New Mexico, one game ahead of UNLV, finish the regular season at TCU on Saturday.
