MISSISSIPPI 77, ARKANSAS 75:
Terrance Henry’s three-point play with 8.2 seconds left capped a 15-point comeback as the Rebels moved ahead of the host Razorbacks in the SEC standings.

With the victory, Mississippi (17-12, 7-8 SEC) moves into seventh in the SEC with one game left in the regular season, Saturday at Alabama. Henry scored 19 points, and Murphy Holloway finished with 16 points and 15 rebounds.

Arkansas (18-12, 6-9 SEC) drops to ninth place with a Saturday game at Mississippi State left before the SEC Tournament next week in New Orleans.

Down 73-72, Holloway scored on a putback to give the Rebels a 74-73 advantage with 32.7 seconds left. Arkansas’ BJ Young was fouled with 13.3 seconds remaining. He hit both free throws to make it 75-74 Razorbacks.

The Rebels did not call timeout. Henry drove the left side, scored and was fouled with 8.2 seconds to go. He hit the free throw, and Young’s drive fell short at the buzzer.

Young finished with 19 points for the Razorbacks.

Arkansas led 55-40 on Mardracus Wade’s 3-pointer with 13:39 remaining. The Rebels rallied, scoring 11 points in a row to draw back into the game, and Holloway’s free throw with 2:48 left gave Mississippi its first lead since the first half, 69-68.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Rebels led by six early in the first half before the Razorbacks turned up the defensive pressure, building a 35-26 halftime advantage. … Mississippi scored the first seven points of the second half to pull within two before Arkansas pulled away again. … Before Holloway’s free throw, the last Mississippi lead was 16-15 with 7:48 left in the first half.
