Michael Snaer scored 21 points as No. 24 Florida State overcame a slow start to win its sixth straight, 68-54 over visiting Georgia Tech on Wednesday.

Florida State (15-6), which is off to its best ACC start at 6-1, forced 24 turnovers as it kept pace with North Carolina atop the conference. Georgia Tech (8-14, 1-7 ACC) dropped its sixth in a row.

The Yellow Jackets were without leading scorer Glen Rice Jr., who is dealing with turf toe, but they played an inspired first half and led 25-24 at the break.

The Seminoles clamped down after halftime, making it hard for the Yellow Jackets to get a good look en route to their seventh straight victory over Georgia Tech.

Snaer was 5 for 7 from 3-point range.

Guard Brandon Reed led Georgia Tech with 18 points, and center Daniel Miller had 10 points and nine rebounds.

The Seminoles host No. 18 Virginia on Saturday.
