Garrett Jackson and Maurice Jones scored 16 points apiece as Southern Cal earned its first Pac-12 win with a 62-45 victory over visiting Utah on Saturday.

Southern Cal (6-16, 1-8 Pac-12) opened the game on a 23-8 run and led by as many as 21 midway through the second half. Utah (5-16, 2-7) has lost six of its last seven games.

The win snapped a nine-game losing streak for Southern Cal, which had only six scholarship players available. The Trojans shot 48 percent from the field and made 7 of 17 3-point attempts.

Southern Cal was playing its first game without 7-foot forward Dewayne Dedmon, who suffered a season-ending knee injury against Colorado on Thursday.

Utah dropped to 0-11 in games played away from the Huntsman Center despite Dijon Farr’s 12 points and eight rebounds. After scoring only 14 points in the first half, Utah had three walk-ons in the lineup to start the second half.

Chris Hines and Jason Washburn scored 10 points apiece for the Utes, who shot 29.4 percent from the field and committed nine turnovers in the first half.
